Peruvian Window Cat
This chart has had its shading altered and two blues replaced. All new patterns will have the update.
370 --> blend 370/3011 (if stitching 1 over 1, put 3011 on the bottom stroke and 370 on the top stroke)
3761 --> ecru
827 --> 3866
There is also one stitch of 208 in the cat's ear; replace this with 315.
I would suggest keeping an eye on 3053 and 3013 as you stitch them. Compared to the other colours, they look much more green, but I don't want to make more changes than absolutely necessary.
Desert Angels
The solid X is not listed in the colour key. This symbol should be stitched with 3799.
General Comments
As I have gained more experience, I have discovered a few "problem colours" that don't stitch up quite right. I have corrected the designs in future printings to allow for this, but older patterns may still include these colours. Listed here are those "tricky" colour (all DMC).
- 747 - this come out brighter and bluer than expected; 3865 (winter white) is a good replacement
- 814 - in some designs this works perfectly while in others in can be too bright and too red; if that is the case, tone it down by blending it with 310 (black)
- 966 - this is another colour that can be too bright; if it is, blend it with ecru to tone it down
